This tire comes in H (130 mph), W (168 mph), and Y (186 mph) speed ratings, but this depends on the size of the tire, and of course the vendor. Pirelli designed the P6000 for traction in both wet and dry road conditions. This is a summer tire and will give no traction in snowy or icy conditions.

This will blow up the tire to full screen so you can see the shoulder blocks and grooves for channeling water up close and personal. Pirelli designed this tire with some innovative new technology including synthetic polymers and silica to improve both dry and wet traction. This tire was also designed with low rolling resistance to improve fuel economy and reduce friction. Tested The P6000 is a solid summer performance tire that provides great traction and steering response when driven very aggressively. When pushing the P6000 hard around turns the tires gripped amazingly well. This tire has a pretty low profile so you will feel bumps and potholes in the road more so than with a passenger or touring tire. The P6000 does provide some road noise as well, especially when on the highway. In wet conditions the P6000 gripped the road like it was dry. Performance and handling were superb when braking and around turns even when driven aggressively. When taken over a large shallow puddle to test hydroplaning, the tires provided good traction and did not waver. One thing to note- with higher performance tires like this one, the tread will not last as long as traditional passenger or touring tires because of the tread compound. This is one of the trade offs to having a tire that grips the road better...
Conclusion:
The Pirelli P6000 is a great all around tire that provides solid handling in both dry and wet conditions. Steering response is fantastic and the tires really grip the road well. Just take note that the tread will probably only last somewhere between 40k and 50k miles, depending on how aggressively you drive. Prices range from $141 to $239 per tire depending on size, which is about average for this category. Pirelli P6000 Warranty
