Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Tire Review
Passenger All Season

The Goodyear Assurance ComforTred tire was ranked #3 out of 25 tires for the Passenger All Season tire category. This tire has great tread life, cornering stability, and ride comfort. The Assurance ComforTred also has great wet and dry traction, and handles well in light snow conditions.

Goodyear put an extra rubber cushion layer in this tire to give a comfortable ride and you can really feel this. It also gives the tire a nice and quiet ride. The Assurance ComforTred also handled well with acceleration and braking. You can tell the tread pattern design sticks to the road really well.

The Good:
  1. Very low noise on the road
  2. Good tread life and long lasting tire
  3. Very comfortable ride
  4. Great cornering stability

The Bad:
  1. Snow traction could be improved.
  2. Ice traction could be improved.

Conclusion:
The Goodyear Assurance ComforTred is a great all season passenger tire that handles well in almost all conditions. It did struggle a little on ice and snow, but that is expected with an all season tire. If you are driving a significant amount of time on ice and snow I would recommend a dedicated winter / snow tire.

This is a solid all around Passanger All Season tire at a great price point. Depending on the size of your tires the price ranges from $113 to $226 per tire.

The Goodyear ComforTred features:
  • Symmetric tread enhances dry and wet traction while reducing road noise
  • Absorbent rubber layer provides up to 20% more cushion than standard passenger tires by reducing road vibration and absorbing bumps
  • Polyester cord body and twin steel belts enhance durability while contributing to a smoother ride
