Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Tire Review   
Grand Touring All Season Tire

This tire is not to be confused with the Continental ProContact with EcoPlus. The tire reviewed here, the PureContact with EcoPlus, is a solid all season tire that performed well in all conditions including dry, wet, and snow settings. Traction on ice is good for an All Season tire but if you are driving in snow and ice for most of the winter you will want to go with a dedicated winter tire. 

Dry traction and steering is very good on this tire. When driven aggressively around turns the tire is quick to respond, but can go into a gentle over-steer.  Traction when braking and accelerating is excellent, especially in wet conditions (see video below). 

The Pure Contact with EcoPlus provides a nice and quiet ride but when driven over big potholes and bumps the tire did not respond as well as similar tires tested.

Pros:

• Steering response and cornering is very good when driven around the track
• Excellent wet and dry traction
• Very good snow traction for an All Season tire
• Very smooth and quiet ride
• Great MPG

Cons:

• When driven over larger bumps or potholes tire did not cushion as well as other tires
• When driven aggressively around turns the tire is quick to respond, but can go into a gentle over-steer.
  

Conclusion:
The Continental Pure Contact with EcoPlus is a very good All Season tire that performed well across the board. Most impressive was wet traction and snow traction, where the tire gripped amazingly well when cornering and braking. Prices range from $87 to $196 depending on size which is a good value for this Grand Touring All Season Tire.
