BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S Tire Review
High Performance All Season Tire

The G Force Super Sport AS (All Season) is a high performance tire that performs well in dry, wet, and light snow situations.
Michelin Pilot Exalto AS
This tire is designed primarily for performance / sports cars because of the sizes available and style of the tread design. (You can see the tread in detail by clicking on the tire to the left). This is a directional tire with BFGoodrich Aqua Chute technology built in to provide better traction in wet conditions and sipes (the smallest grooves) for traction in snow and ice.

The G Force Super Sport A/S has a few additional BFGoodrich features including rim protection which is designed to protect your rims from curb damage, V-Shift noise reduction for a nice quiet ride, and the PRETEC System for improved cornering and stability.

Tested:
When taken out on the track for a test run the tires provided very good dry traction when accelerating, cornering, and braking. Toggled back and forth around turns the tires provided great steering response and stability.

On the wet track the tires provided excellent traction in all the same situations as the dry track including cornering and braking. When tested for hydroplaning over a very large shallow puddle, such as you might encounter on the highway, the water was displaced through the channels and the tire did not quiver.

Tire was not tested in winter / snow / ice conditions but according to consumer reviews it seems to be very good or average for an all season tire.

Pros:
  • Excellent Cornering, Steering Response and Dry traction
  • Very Good Wet Traction and Hydroplaning Resistance
  • Smooth and Comfortable Ride
  • Comes with a very good warranty for the H and V speed rated versions

Cons:
  • Snow / Ice / Winter traction is average according to consumer reviews for an all season tire
Conclusion:
The BFGoodrich G Force Super Sport A/S is a very good all around tire that provides great traction in almost all situations. Like I always say, if you drive in the snow for most of the winter go with a dedicated snow tire and swap them out for summer tires when the seasons change, instead of going for an all season tire. If you rarely encounter snow and ice then this is a solid choice for a tire that comes with a 6 year / 50,000 mile warranty (H- or V-Rated) or 6 Years / 35,000 Miles for the W-Rated version.

Video:
The people over at Tire Rack conducted an independent test which compares the BFGoodrich G Force Super
Sport A/S to the following tires: Kumho Ecsta AST, Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season, and Yokohama AVID H4s.
