BFGoodrich Premier Touring

The BFGoodrich Premier Touring tire is a very good and well rounded all season tire that performed well in dry conditions, but struggled a bit when it came to wet traction. Ride comfort was very nice and this tire produced very little noise on the highway.
When it came to snow and ice traction the Premier Touring tire did not perform as well as similar tires tested in the in the Standard Touring All Season category. The treadwear on the Premier touring is very good and should last very close to the 70,000 mile warranty. Speaking of which, this is one of the best warranties you will find for a tire such as this. If you click on the image to the left you can see a more detailed image of the tire. BFGoodrich designed the Premier Touring with circumferential grooves that go all the way around the tire which help channel out water to prevent hydroplaning and give better traction in wet conditions. The smallest of slits and grooves in the tire are called sipes, which help with winter / snow / ice traction. If you drive in the snow for most of the winter you will want to go with a dedicated winter tire. Pros: Very good steering response and handling. Smooth and quiet ride. Cons: Wet traction not as good as other All Season tires. Same with ice and snow traction. Conclusion: If you are not driving in winter conditions frequently, this tire gets the job done. It handles well in dry conditions and provides and smooth and quiet ride. If you are looking for a better All Season tire I would recommend the Michelin Defender or Firestone Precision Touring.
