Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 Tire Review
Winter Tire Tabitha on Google+ Part of the Winter Biter series, the Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 aims to provide strong traction and precise handling in both low and high temperatures, without the need for studs or a change of tire. It features a new RC polymer tread enhanced with Nano ProTech, Multicell technology. This produces millions of pores in and adds biting particles to the tire, which increases its gripping power and enhances its overall snow and ice performance. The new technology is also responsible for removing water that may have formed or flowed through the tread while navigating wet, slushy, or snowy roads. The tire’s wide, straight grooves assist further in reducing the risks of hydroplaning and increasing traction in wet conditions. The Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 utilizes a directional tread pattern with independent tread blocks, zigzag sipes, and riblets. All of these design features greatly improve the tire’s traction on snow and ice. The tire also features Bridgestone’s UNI-T technology, which increases its durability despite rough driving. This technology improves handling, reduces fuel consumption, and enhancing ride quality as well. The Bridgestone Blizzak WS70 is available in a variety of size, with width ranging from 145-245mm and rim diameter ranging from 15”-18”. With the available specifications, this tire accommodates small to mid-range cars such as coupes, sedans, and crossover vehicles. This tire passes the industry’s severe snow requirements, so it’s branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol. Its MSRP starts at roughly $90 and varies based on your chosen size and preferred vendor.
