This tire combines the wider tread of a performance tire with the comfort of a passenger tire giving you a hybrid style touring tire.
That being said, this tire only comes in a few different sizes so you will want to check and make sure it fits your vehicle. This tire is an all season tire that provides traction in dry, wet, and light snow conditions. (If you click on the image to the left can can see the sipes (small slits and grooves) in high detail.
The Affinity Touring is a low rolling resistance tire, which means it does not stick to the road as much, giving you better gas mileage. The problem with that is that the tire does not provide the same traction and steering response as it should. This is a frequent issue with low rolling resistance tires. When tested this tire provided good dry traction, but only mediocre wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. Cornering stability was ok, but not great, and treadwear is fair at best. Pros: Low rolling resistance. Good dry traction. Cornering was ok. Cons: Bad snow and ice traction. Wet traction not so good. Ride comfort and noise comfort not great. Conclusion: This tire is fairly inexpensive and here you get what you pay for. Prices range from about $60 - $100, depending on size and vendor. For just a couple of extra bucks you can get the Firestone Precision Touring tire which scores much higher across the board. Affinity Touring Tire Sizes
