The BF Goodrich Advantage T/A tire was designed for performance-style handling in rain or snow, even if you are just going to work or running errands. When tested the tire performed very well in dry and wet conditions, but ice and snow traction could have been better. The Advantage T/A handles well on wet roads in part due to the deep, wide grooves that channel water away and tread blocks that provide strong grip. The non-directional design means the tire should last a long time too. The rolling resistance (how much friction the tire creates) which determines the fuel efficiency, could be improved though.
The Bottom Line:
The Advantage T/A is a tire that handles very well and performs great in almost all conditions. The traction and sipes (small grooves in the tire) could be slightly improved for winter and snow conditions. Overall this tire has very good steering response, cornering, and provides a nice comfortable ride. Prices start at $73 per tire and depends on size and vendor. |
