Buying tires checklist:
1. Read the review for the tire here at Best Tire Review! We grade tires based upon their Dry Traction, Wet Traction, Snow Traction, Ride Comfort, Noise Level, Steering Response, Hydroplaning Resistance, Cornering, Warranty and more... |
All Season Performance Tires
Excellent response and handling in wet and dry conditions, as well as light snow. |
2. Weather requirements
Don't buy All Season tires if you don't drive in the snow! If you live where you are only driving in the rain during the winter you want to go with a summer tire. Summer tires are great for dry and wet traction. If you live in a place where is snows frequently then you will want to go with All Season tires or summer tires during the summer and swap them out for winter tires during the winter. |
These low profile tires provide great handling
and traction for both dry and wet conditions |
3. Speed rating
You can knock down your speed rating to save some dough. Tires with higher speed ratings are not only more expensive but also are usually made from a softer rubber compound and generally will have shorter tread life. Q= 99 mph S= 112 mph T= 118 mph U= 124 mph H= 130 mph V= up to 149 mph Z= 149 mph and above W= 168 mph Y= 186 mph |
Tires for amazing grip and traction in light snow, deep snow, and ice

4. What is best for you?
All tires have their strengths and weaknesses. Some will have better dry traction, but not provide as comfortable a ride. Other tires will have great wet traction, but not provide as quiet of a ride on the freeway. Some tires have middle of the road performance across the board. Choose a tire that matches your driving style and what you find important when driving. |
